The support of the community-at-large is vital to the Club’s ability to maintain a safe and positive haven for local youth. We enjoy active and mutually rewarding partnerships with area businesses and corporations as witnessed through the success of Homers for Kids, our annual Corporate Campaign which reached unprecedented heights this year. Homers for Kids  Club supporters and staff gather at McCoy Stadium, home of the Pawtucket Red Sox, to kick off the Homers for Kids campaign. Homers for Kids is a summer-long, corporate solicitation effort that benefits Pawtucket's children and teens through support of the Club's many programs. The Pawtucket Red Sox and The Times are supporting partners of Homers for Kids, which is in its 14th year. As long-time partners, the PawSox supply event support at McCoy Stadium and pre-event promotion. The Times inserts weekly advertisements, recognizing contributors and tracking the success of the Homers for Kids campaign throughout the season. A ceremony celebrating Homers for Kids is held at McCoy Stadium every April before a PawSox game. Representatives of the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket throw out the first ball. In August, a wrap-up, appreciation event is held on at McCoy Stadium also, in recognition of those who contributed to Homers for Kids campaign over the summer. In 2007, the summer-long Homers for Kids campaign raised a record $87,825 in net contributions.  Homers for Kids brochure |
