At the Club, we enhance our kids' school and home learning through knowledge, support, tutoring and encouragement. Power HourA comprehensive homework help and tutoring program, Power Hour is designed to raise the academic proficiency of Club members ages 6-12. Pawtucket kids earn points and rewards for time spent studying and completing homework assignments. Power Hour is sponsored nationally by The JC Penney After-School Fund.Project LearnProject Learn reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school through "high-yield" learning activities at the Club and in the home. Based on research that shows fun but academically beneficial activities increase academic performance, these activities include leisure reading, writing activities, homework help and games like Scrabble® which develop young people's cognitive skills. Project Learn emphasizes collaborations between our Club's staff, parents and school personnel. Project Learn has been proven to boost the academic performance of Club members.
Kids today are amazingly eager to improve their computer skills. Increasingly their technological aptitude is a focus at the Club. We nurture kids in our computer lab to better prepare them for the present and future technological evolution, occurring in both personal life and business achievement. |
